Ushers
The New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra is in need of volunteer
ushers for its performances at the Palace Theater in Manchester.
Ushers, as concert participants, are a part of the NHPOs heart
and get to enjoy the performances while lending a hand to the community.
Please contact us if you are interested in helping out in this capacity.
Office
Clerical Staff
The NHPO is always in need of organizational helping hands
people who can assist with filing, copying, distributing concert
posters, manning raffle tables, and more. No formal training is
necessary, although computer literacy is a desirable skill. This
is an excellent, low-key opportunity to become a key contributor
to a community organization.
Grant
Writers
Anyone with experience in writing grant proposals may quickly find
a home in the NHPO. Securing grant monies is an integral component
of maintaining a strong orchestral tradition, so the rewards of
your service would be both tangible and immeasurable. Please let
us know if your writing skills can be of help.
Publicity
Assistants
There are all sorts of ways for you to help publicize the NHPOs
efforts. From hanging posters to handing out brochures to providing
press releases to newspapers to putting us in touch with media contacts
you may know, theres a role for almost everyone in spreading
the word about our upcoming events and other important news.
Program
Brochure Advertising Sales
Helping secure paid advertisements for our program brochure can
be rewarding. Advertisers know the typical NHPO audience member
is part of a higher-income demographic someone with a high
degree of consumerism and extensive buying needs. As a result, your
efforts to sell ad space are often quickly rewarded. This is a high-energy
job, so be prepared to dive in!
Need
for Contributions
Ticket sales account for only 40% of the New Hampshire Philharmonic
Orchestras revenue. Therefore, we rely heavily on the community
for support. Remember, we are a slice of the community your
community not a private enterprise. Your donation to the
NHPO literally goes to your friends and neighbors, making the very
real sense of sharing all the more special. You can help ensure
that a quality tradition everyone can enjoy will continue! For more
information call the NHPO office at 603 647-6476.
