Scenic

A trip to Stowe wouldn't be complete without a scenic drive or two. Take a drive along the Little River and enjoy the rainbow trout or if you'd like to explore the upland farms to the northwest of Stowe you may enjoy a brief tour of Edson Hill and West Hill. Spectacular in the fall, this route is known for capturing the change of seasons and offers magnificent views down into the valley and across the Worcester Mountains. Be sure to stop by Percy Farm's Sugar House in the spring to watch them make a fresh batch of maple syrup.

A quick trip Brush Hill offers lots of wildlife along the back roads. A drive out on Elmore Mountain Road offers some fantastic mountain views or if you love Ben & Jerry's ice cream, be sure to take the family for a ride down Stowe Hollow Road and out Route 100. The well-known haunted "Emily's Bridge," is on the way as well as the historic Little River Dam.

Be sure to visit the capital while you're here by taking a ride to the historic City of Montpelier. From there if you head north to Worcestor you'll get a great view of the Worcester Mountains. You may also want to pack a picnic and stop at Lake Elmore for lunch and a quick swim (weather permitting). No matter what your interests, there is a great scenic drive in store for you just a short distance from Stowe.
